Everyone is looking for a bargain right now and you can't go wrong with this delicious Montepulciano d’ Abruzzo from Dan Murphy's. It's a beefy, rustic number with nice savoury characters; perfect with pasta, pizza or roast meats and great value at $12.

I had a bottle of the Illuminati 2006 Riparosso with our Spanakopita and it matched this spinach/feta/ricotta pie dish really well. Great flavours for a moderately priced wine.
